Security & Safety

Your safety and security are our highest priorities. Kayra Cabs follows strict vehicle maintenance, verification, and safety standards to provide a reliable and secure self-drive rental experience. This page outlines the measures we take to protect our customers, our vehicles, and your personal data.

Well-Maintained Vehicles

Every vehicle in our fleet undergoes regular servicing, deep cleaning, and multi-point safety inspections before being handed over to customers. This includes checks on brakes, tyres, lights, fluids, battery, and emergency equipment. Vehicles found below standard are immediately withdrawn from service until fully rectified.

Verified Customers

All bookings require valid government-issued photo identification (Aadhaar, Passport, Voter ID, or Driving License) and a valid driving license held for a minimum of 1 year. Original documents must be presented at the time of vehicle handover. This verification process ensures that only eligible and authorized customers operate our vehicles.

Vehicle Protection & GPS Tracking

Our vehicles are equipped with GPS tracking and telematics systems that are monitored continuously for enhanced safety, route assistance, and operational security. Tampering with, unplugging, or disabling these devices is strictly prohibited and attracts a penalty of ₹20,000 plus hardware restoration costs.

Emergency Assistance

Our customer support team is available 24/7 to assist customers in case of emergencies, breakdowns, accidents, or unexpected situations. In the event of an accident, breakdown, or theft, customers must immediately inform Kayra Cabs at +91 9899558450 and file a Police FIR/GD within 2 hours. Replacement vehicles are provided within Delhi NCR subject to availability.

Data Protection

Customer information, KYC documents, and payment details are protected using industry-standard security practices including encrypted transmission, restricted access, and secure storage. All personal data is handled in strict accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable Indian data protection laws. We never sell, rent, or share customer information with third parties for marketing purposes.

Safe Driving Guidelines

To ensure your safety and that of others on the road, we strongly advise:

  • Always wear seat belts for all occupants.
  • Obey all traffic rules, signals, and speed limits (80 km/hr on governed vehicles, 110 km/hr on expressways).
  • Never drive under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
  • Do not allow unverified co-drivers to operate the vehicle.
  • Avoid off-roading, racing, or driving through waterlogged areas.
  • Report any mechanical issue, warning light, or unusual noise immediately.

Insurance & Damage Liability

All vehicles carry valid insurance coverage. Accidental damage out-of-pocket liability is capped between ₹10,000 and ₹20,000 (by vehicle class), provided a Police FIR/GD is filed within 2 hours and Kayra Cabs is notified immediately. Liability caps become void in cases of drunk driving, unverified co-driver, waterlogging, off-roading, racing, or failure to file a police report.
